Emilie blurs the lines between architecture and interior design to create cohesive built environments. With sustainability, universal design, and indoor environmental quality at the forefront of every project, Emilie prioritizes the long-lasting positive impact that design has on everyday lives.

After graduating from the University of Idaho, Emilie chose to return to the Greater Seattle Area to pursue her goals in impacting communities through design. Third Place Design Co-operative has opened possibilities in Emilie’s career as she works toward NCIDQ certification and advances TPDC’s architectural and interiors projects.

Outside of work, Emilie enjoys all that the PNW has to offer including rock climbing, hiking, Badminton, pickleball, and the varieties of local markets and cuisines. She is always exploring new destinations, environments and cultures with her friends and family.

  • I would want the power to heal, not only physical but also emotional pain as there are so many people hurting and it can be extremely difficult to find them aid.

    1. Literally any hike within an hour and a half drive! Some favorites are Heather Lake, Rattlesnake Ledge, and Gold Bar (for rock climbing too!).

    2. Smith Tower has an incredible view from their top floor bar and cool historical museum to learn about Seattle’s architectural history.

    3. Pike Place Market is a well known classic and is 100% worth the visit!

  • People are the center point of every community and I believe that when we design both for and with the collaboration of those people, we can create a greater impact and help communities thrive. One of the most rewarding things about this profession is seeing the excited smiles on peoples’ faces when they enter a finished project for the first time.
